I am an ardent evolutionist and an ex-Christian, but I must admit that in this one complaint — and Mr. Gish is but one of many to make it — the literalists are absolutely right. Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today.*

Religion is about the meaning and origin of life and the universe. Evolutionists try to explain the origin of life and the universe, and even try to give meaning to it, while science cannot possible give meaning to anything. The gods of evolution are Mother Nature and Father Time. Evolution theory is based on the unprovable philosophies naturalism and uniformitarianism. The prophet of evolution is Charles Darwin. The bible of evolution is On the Origin of Species. The Christmas of evolution is Darwin Day on which evolutionists hail their prophet. Their prophet is presented to the world as the greatest biologist,** while in reality he merely observed microevolution and presented a speculative theory about unobservable macroevolution based on metaphysics. Major dogmas of evolution are macroevolution and common ancestry.

Evolutionary thought has roots in antiquity.** The attribution of creative powers to mindless naturalistic processes dates back to at least 4th millennium BC Mesopotamia. Aristotle already classified all living organisms hierarchically in his great scala naturae in the 4th century BC.** Iraqi zoologist al-Jahith developed a rudimentary theory of natural selection a thousand years before Darwin.** Old beliefs die hard. Let's take a closer look at some of the main tempels of evolution in the world today...

The Natural History Museum in London is one of the many temples around the world where evolutionists can go admire their prophet Darwin and practice their faith in the religion of evolution. The architecture of the building was designed to be a cathedral to nature.** It is also called a Temple of Nature.* A tourist website says: the large and grand stone building has the look of a place of worship. ... it is like a shrine to nature.** It's like nature worship. Another website states: a cathedral dedication to Darwin and evolution by natural selection.** The building is equipped with gargoyles as is common with gothic religious buildings.** These museums all repeat the same evolutionary gospel with its many metaphysical just-so stories. Together with the many schools and universities sponsored and controlled by mainstream science, they brainwash countless people, including unwitting children, around the world to believe that the scientifically impossible is somehow supported by science, with a little help from their mindless gods Mother Nature and Father Time.

NAS - The NAS Building's Interior: The Great Hall The Great Hall is cruciform in floor plan and is vaulted, with its dome rising to a height of 56 feet at its apex. The dome and its supporting elements are decorated with images, symbols and inscriptions that illustrate the history of science and of the scientific societies that predated the National Academy of Sciences. ... At the center of the dome is a stylized sun ringed by a circular band containing the astronomical symbols representing the eight planets known in 1924. Between the sun and the ring of planets is the inscription, "Ages and cycles of nature in ceaseless sequence moving,"*

The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in Washington is another bastion of evolution. The NAS calls its building a Temple of Science.** The inscription on the ceiling in the dome says: To science, pilot of industry, conqueror of disease, multiplier of the harvest, explorer of the universe, revealer of nature's laws, eternal guide to truth.** Typically, religions proclaim they are the "eternal guides to truth". The symbolism of the sun inside the Roman dome and the cruciform, as in Roman Catholic churches, points to ancient sun worship.

There is a depiction of Prometheus in the hall, he is aided by Athena, stealing the divine fire from the chariot of Helios, the sun god, to bring humankind the flame of knowledge.** In Greek mythology, Prometheus is a Titan god of fire who is credited with the creation of humanity from clay, and of defying the gods by stealing fire and giving it to humanity as civilization.

Another depiction shows a goddess or witch flying through the air, surrounded by swastikas, representing divinity and spirituality in certain religions.** A variety of figures is used as decoration.** The earth symbol* is like the cross symbol of Christianity.

NAS - The NAS Building's Interior: The Entry Foyer At both ends of the foyer, bronze grilles are decorated with Lawrie's interpretations of the signs of the zodiac; each grille depicts six signs arranged in two columns of three, with each horizontal pair framed by two pairs of winged lions facing one another in profile. The appearance of the signs of the zodiac may seem curious in a building dedicated to science. The zodiac has its origin in Babylonian star catalogues where it functioned as a celestial coordinate system. The constellations represented in the zodiac were given special status by the Babylonians because of their position along the ecliptic — the apparent path of the sun over the course of a year — divided into twelve equal sections with the position of the sun at vernal equinox as the origin. In the Academy building depictions of the zodiac and other ancient images symbolize human observations of nature in ancient times and the progress of science from its beginnings to the modern era.*

The statement that these ancient depictions symbolize human observations of nature is simply absurd. Never have winged lion fossils been found. These winged lions are Babylonian religious symbols and they represent the mythological goddess Ishtar. The architects of the NAS building openly admit that science itself has its origins in ancient religion, its assumptions and axioms have to be taken by faith. Today mainstream science is fully based on the unprovable philosophy naturalism. Religious depictions, like for example the sun and the zodiac, point to sun worship and star worship.


Several ancient mythological gods are depicted. For example the Egyptian Ra and Persian Mythras, both representing sun gods. The Greek god Apollo later became identified with Helios, the sun god. These mainstream science temples of evolution are literally drenched in mythological and religious stuff.

The Smithsonian Institution, another bastion of mainstream science, uses the same sun logo as the Catholic Jesuits.* What a strange coincidence, right? This sun logo with 16 rays is a so-called Vergina Sun,* originally used in Greek mythology by for example the Greek sun god Helios. In a Smithsonian Magazine article called One Under the Sun we read: A logo is a powerful symbol. It immediately defines an association between a product and its corporation.** This logo is another reference to sun worship.

The Smithsonian "Badge of Office" contains an owl. Smithsonian explains the owl as follows: Cast in high relief and set within a deeply recessed square on the front is the owl of Athena, a symbol of wisdom** Owls are commonly associated with spirit, wisdom, knowledge, and contemplation. The Smithsonian Institution’s mission** as defined in James Smithson’s will is: For the Increase and Diffusion of Knowledge Among Men.** These symbols are not a coincidence. Knowledge is power.

The so-called new atheists are fanatic preachers of evolution who make fantastic statements. They slant silly rubbish like philosophy is dead,** despite it being a philosophical statement itself, and despite the fact that evolution is based on the unprovable philosophies naturalism and uniformitarianism, and is completely drenched in metaphysics.

Popular atheist Sam Harris wrote a book titled The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason.* But atheism itself has to be taken by faith.
Popular atheist Lawrence Krauss wrote a book titled A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather than Nothing.* But questions involving the origin of life or the universe are philosophical questions, not scientific ones.
Fanatic atheist and evolutionist Richard Dawkins once said: I enormously admire Darwin. He’s the founder of really everything that I do.** In a typical propaganda video called The Unbelievers,* full of the typical misrepresentations of other religions, Dawkins said: the question "why" is not necessarily a question that deserves to be answered... a silly question.* He tells people to stop asking the big questions of life. Then in another video called Teaching Evolution to Religious Students he said: Now it's absolutely certain that Darwin was right. And now we essentially understand why we're all here, what life is all about, what is the meaning of it all.** He claims to have the answers to the big questions of life, like religion does.

Obviously, these people just don't make any sense, but they're heavily promoted by the world of mainstream science, and their books are hailed by ignorant atheists and evolutionists around the world.
